How do you change this.
How do you change this?
Below are the ten simple steps to build a healthy network of potential Clients.
Start small with these using these 10 steps to get 5 Customers, or more, with no money out of your pocket……
Firstly, if you haven’t got a business, set up a limited company and a business bank account.
Also having a way to process money is useful such as Stripe or PayPal.
Let people know about the stuff or service you sell, to get them to buy it.
Step 1. The List
Step 1: Get a list, but I don’t have a list, damn right you do!
Get a list! (But I don’t have a list, oh yes you do!)
List 1 Contacts from your Emails:
Go to your email account(s) - pull out all your contacts in there, anyone you’ve messaged or emailed.
List 2 Contacts Social Media Accounts (Linkedin, Facebook, Instagram etc)
Go to every single Social Media profile you have where you can direct message, write down every single one of these people.
List 2 Contacts in your phone.
Pull out your phone, look through your contacts. Export these private phone contacts.
Now you should have a load more leads than you thought you had.
Step 2 Pick a Platform
Step 2. Pick a Platform and start messaging
Pick a Platform to start messaging from.
Start with one you have the most Contacts on, such as Linkedin
Step 3. Reach out to 100 people each day
Warm them up with A C A (Acknowledge, Compliment and Ask)
Acknowledge - oh so you have 2 children, active listening
Compliment - Wow you must be a super mum, working full time and having 2 children (positive label)
Ask - Tie ask to the label, hey so you’re a super mum, transition to whatever Service you sell, if you sell Therapy - how do you get time for yourself?
If you sell weight loss - hey do you have time to eat right and workout?
If you sell design services - Have you enough space for your growing family? or how do you have time to research drive forward the most suitable plan of action for your business to decarbonise?
If each day you reach out to 100 people.
100 x 5 days x 4 weeks = 2,000 per month people via emails, contacts and followers on social media….
But what should I say?
Personalise your message. Use something you already know about the person or prospect.
In order to reach out, just be a Human Being. Spend 30 seconds or so looking at their profile, see if you have anything in common, shared friends, interests etc.
Perhaps something interesting happened, reach out with that as the primary message.
Hey, I saw you’ve got a baby, hey saw you switched jobs, saw you moved, saw you were at that sustainability event last week.
It doesn’t matter- all you need to do is show that you have a genuine interest in them.
Just be friendly and yourself, you are just growing your network with people with a similar interest in the Built Environment.
